After clinching two major international awards—Best Star Artist of the Year 2024 in South Africa and Best Male Artist at the Hapa Awards in Tanzania—Onesimus is now setting his sights on the prestigious Music Video Africa Awards (MVAA) in Nigeria.

Grateful for the unwavering support of his fans, Onesimus acknowledged that his recent victories would not have been possible without their love and votes. In a heartfelt message, he shared:

“I just wanted to come here and appreciate you guys for the amazing work you’re doing for me. Listen, I make music, but not just for myself. I make music for you. You’re the reason my music is big. You’re the reason people love me everywhere, because as they say, east or west, home is best.”

Recently, Onesimus teamed up with Nigerian sensation Joeboy to remix his hit song “Controller,” which has been making waves globally. The duo is planning to release a music video for the track soon.

As the MVAA awards approach, Onesimus has taken to social media to rally his fans for votes, hoping to secure a hat-trick of international accolades this year. He’s up against tough competition, including Yo Maps, Ivo Mahel, Portable, Rich Bizzy, and several others.

“Team Butter, first and foremost, thank you for your support. We’ve won two international awards so far this year, and now we’ve been nominated for the MVAA Awards for ‘Song of the Year’ with ‘Controller.’ Let’s bring this one home again,” he urged his followers.
