Stich Fray’s musical odyssey began in 2009, just after secondary school. Together with his friends, he formed the group Afarisi, laying the groundwork for a remarkable career.
Inspired by the iconic sounds of 50 Cent and Bob Marley, Stich Fray found his musical direction through the stories and rhythms of these legends.
One pivotal moment in his early career was hearing his song on MBC Radio 2, played by Madalitso Kalamula. This milestone fueled his determination to succeed in the music industry.

“It was the moment I heard my song being played on the radio where it all started, Now Performing at UMP festival is way better because it gives us the opportunity to communicate and share our music with a wider audience,” he says.
Stich Fray’s creative process is spontaneous, drawing inspiration from daily life. His approach to performances is relaxed yet thoughtful.
“I don’t do rituals. But before I get on stage, I prepare, make myself at ease, and pray,” he shares.
His music conveys messages of peace, love, unity, and upliftment. He has recently released “Mtendere” album which has been received well by lovers.
