Ten stunning models are set to battle it out for the coveted Miss UMP title this weekend at Cape Maclear. The contestants—Lerato, Amanda, Mayamiko, Maisha, Yemis, Lindana, Alinafe, Rachel, Thokozani, and Muttie—recently completed a boot camp where they received training in preparation for the debut event.

The training manager, known as ‘Model with Calista,’ expressed her excitement about working with the talented group in collaboration with the UMP Festival. She assured fans to expect an unforgettable show. “The Miss UMP contestants will give the audience a blast!” she exclaimed.

Calista also praised the models for their rapid improvement since their first training session.

“I’m really impressed with how much they’ve grown. They’ve clearly been absorbing the lessons and working on their skills, which is great to see,” she said.

Among the boot camp activities was a friendly debate on crucial topics like mental health and women empowerment, allowing the models to sharpen their public speaking and presentation skills.

“It’s been really beneficial, and a few of them have started standing out with fierce competition,” Calista added.

Show manager Keitumille highlighted that preparations for both the Miss UMP pageant and the UMP fashion show are at an advanced stage.

“We are preparing to give the audience a thrilling and memorable show. No stone is being left unturned to ensure this is a first-of-its-kind event.”
