Chitoliro Productionz, the organizers of the UMP Festival, have announced a special award for university and college cyphers released this year.

The cyphers were organized to promote budding talent and strengthen engagement with student bodies across various institutions.

The universities and colleges that participated in the project include MUST, MUBAS, CHANCO, MZUNI, BIU, MCA, CU, MAGU, DMI, NRC, UNILIA, KUHeS, and Bunda.

This announcement follows the recent release of the DMI Cypher, with only few remaining to debut their projects.

UMP Coordinator Andrew Macheso confirmed the development, stating that more details will be shared soon.

“Many details are still under discussion, but I can confirm that the awards will happen,” Macheso said.

Categories for the awards are as follows; Best Verse (Male), Best Verse (Female), Best Lyricist Overall, Every School’s Finest (College reps) and Best Cypher (Group performance). Awards Ceremony and Voting details to be announced soon.

Chitoliro Productionz also organizes the prestigious annual UMP Awards, of the nation’s most significant entertainment events.
