UMP to Unveil More International Acts

As the countdown continues for this year’s Urban Music People (UMP) festival, more international acts are set to join the lineup, it has been revealed.

Chitoliro Productions appears to be gearing up for a historic event with numerous acts, both local and international, already announced. However, the company aims to bring even more talent to the festival.

Recently, the festival unveiled Kenyan ‘Poet The Priest’, South African artists in ‘Ntunja’, and reggae icon ‘Maveriq Mavo’ respectively as international headliners.

Chitoliro Productions spokesperson Marie Thom promised an exciting and memorable festival.

“It’s an international festival, so we are reaching audiences throughout the continent. More and more acts will be revealed as we have up to 40 international performers lined up,” she said.

On the local scene, newly added acts include gospel headliners Theresa Phondo and Dr. Ethel Kamwendo Banda.

The festival, dubbed ‘The Evolution,’ will also feature several categories including swimming, beach sports, and modeling, among others.

The three-day festival will take place from October 25-28, and tickets are still on sale.
